Appropriately the complex was inaugurated by SENIOR VETERANS; the Departmental Stores by an 84 years old Army Brigadier PK Nandgopal, Maha Veer Chakra (MVC)(retired) and the Community Hall by 80 years old Subedar and Honorary_Captain C Duraisami, Veer Chakra (Vr C), a World War II veteran too and the Dining Facility by another World War II veteran Naik (Corporal) A Puuniakoti.

Army Veterans' Welfare Complex dedicated by Lt Gen Aditya Singh,PVSM,AVSM**, ADC to the VALOUROUS VETERANS OF VELLORE on 15 Mar 2007. This complex consists of comprehensive facilities and amenities for the welfare of the Army Veterans and serving soldiers, significantly the district with maximum number of Army Veterans. This complex houses the ECHS Polyclinic (a health facility), a departmental stores(CSD),community hall (300 persons) for hosting events and functions and guest rooms. Veterans can also access information for their welfare and resettlement from the 'e-kiosk' operating in the Complex. The office of Assured Decent Last Rites (ADLR)- for Vellore District is also functioning here.

oh my god...i have never seen such a bad school in my life...i was totured very much...i thank god for my shift from that school...after shifting from that school i studied very well and i completed my engineering degree...if i would have continued in that school,i will be off..that school is very partial...they will recognise students only if they like...otherwise the life of the student is gone...i never forget this school in my life and whenever i think about their torture,i will start crying..

i did my schoolings in GMGHS, we had a wonderful time during our schoolings, our school is surrounded by 4 to 5 thethers. There are many exciting things happend during in school days. Cheers.

Of the 6 Government Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu, TPGIT is the least developed college. It is yet (2007 Jan) to get its own campus even after so many years.It has the dubious distinction of being the only college whcih was put as "No Admissions" in 1999 by the AICTE. The only redeeming feature of this college is its good faculty strength. Needless to say it is the government's indifference is the cause of the poor development of this college.
